Tracy Nygaard is a birth, adoptive, and foster parent alongside her husband, Len. Together, they are raising a big family of eight children, four boys and four girls, with a home shaped by patience, welcome, and everyday love.

Her children’s book, Lukey’s Ginormous Family, is inspired by the real heart of family life: adoption, foster care, siblings, visit days, social workers, big feelings, busy routines, and the joy of belonging.

Through Lukey’s cheerful 4-year-old voice, Tracy helps children understand that families can grow in different ways, and every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and included.
